Who is the ideal candidate for liposuction?
The ideal candidate for this procedure is a patient who is at their ideal body weight with good skin elasticity and muscle tone. It is not a hard and fast weight to lose weight and clients should review their expectations with their surgeon prior to any surgery. The results from liposuction are permanent provided the patient maintains their weight.
What is the recovery period for liposuction?
Post-surgery, you will likely be given a compression garment to wear to control swelling in the treated areas. Depending on the extent your surgery, most patients can return to work in approximately a week post-surgery. Results shouldn’t be judged until at least 1 to 3 months after surgery. Incisions will fade over a period of 3 to 12 months

We have a water assisted liposuction machine which is considered the treatment of choice for lipoedema. Water assisted liposuction is a gentle technique where the cannula sucks fat tissue out and has an attached waterjet that separates and removes the fat cells from the surrounding tissues. This helps to ensure less damage to the lymphatics which may be deficient in lipoedema patients.
